What's Behind Your Stress?
Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some exist to clear the path.
I am now accepting new clients for Telehealth Therapy.
Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some exist to clear the path.
I am here to help you see that you don't always have to settle for what's in front of you. If you like it leave. It you hate it change it.
I am the founder of Blind Spot Therapy and my life’s work is to support and encourage you to think about yourself and your relationships in a healthier, more fulfilling way.
After 9 years of working with clients in schools, clinics, treatment centers, and in the community, I've come to recognize that life is inherently complex, even when we're operating at our best. However, when stress, anxiety, addiction, or depression (or a combination of these) enter the equation, even the most basic daily tasks can feel overwhelmingly difficult.
I'm committed to making the therapeutic process as comfortable and authentic as possible for my clients. That's why I offer both in-person sessions and Telehealth sessions. Telehealth is a secure and confidential method of therapy, where we connect remotely through a secure platform that complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This innovative approach allows me to meet you in real time, regardless of your location.
Telehealth provides you with the convenience of accessing therapy without the added stress of Los Angeles traffic, and it offers a more flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. My goal is to ensure that your therapeutic journey is a source of support, not an additional stressor. If you're facing real challenges, therapy should be a place where you can unburden your mind and receive the help and support you need, all while maintaining your comfort and convenience.
Meeting with your therapist in person, often referred to as face-to-face or in-office therapy, offers several benefits compared to virtual or online therapy. While online therapy can be convenient and effective for many individuals, in-person therapy provides unique advantages: Personal Connection: In-person therapy allows for a deeper personal connection between you and your therapist. Being in the same physical space can foster a stronger therapeutic relationship, trust, and rapport. Non-Verbal Cues: In face-to-face sessions, both you and your therapist can observe and interpret non-verbal cues more easily. This includes facial expressions, body language, and other subtleties that can convey important information about your emotions and reactions. Focused Environment: In an office setting, the therapist's office is typically designed to create a calm and focused atmosphere, free from distractions. This environment can enhance the therapeutic experience and encourage open and honest communication. Physical Presence: The therapist's physical presence can provide a sense of safety and security. Clients often find comfort in having their therapist in the same room, especially when discussing sensitive or difficult topics. Body Language: Therapists can use their own body language to convey empathy and support, further enhancing the therapeutic relationship. Immediate Feedback: In-person therapy allows for immediate feedback and clarification, which can help resolve misunderstandings and provide timely support.Engagement: Being physically present in a therapist's office can encourage a sense of commitment to the therapeutic process. It can be a motivating factor in attending sessions regularly. Reduced Technical Issues: In-person therapy avoids potential technical glitches, internet connectivity issues, or other technological barriers that can sometimes disrupt online therapy.
Do you feel like you have been stuck repeating the same painful experiences over and over again, but the only thing that's different is the people involved? Or are you struggling with the feeling that your life's not working out the way you had hoped, but you can't explain why? I am here to help you discover not just the 'why' but also explore the ‘How’ so that you have the tools and insight to change it.
Sometimes we are too close to our problems to really see what the cause is or how we are contributing to them. Our blind spots weaken us, but they don't need to destroy us. I work with my clients to help them discover the parts of themselves they have yet to explore, support them as they identify their red flags and work collaboratively to help change their core problems.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, I can help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life, or have yet to discover.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
A therapist can be instrumental in helping someone understand and change dysfunctional dating practices by providing guidance, support, and a safe space for self-reflection. For more information on these processes please check out the section labeled "Areas of Practice" for a more in-depth look at how I can help.
Grief counselors provide a safe and empathetic environment for individuals who are mourning the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or any significant life change also known as non-death losses. I offer emotional support and a non-judgmental space for clients to express their feelings. Every person's grief experience is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of each client. I work with clients to develop coping strategies to manage their grief.
A therapist can play a crucial role in helping survivors of narcissistic abuse work through their trauma and begin the healing process. Narcissistic abuse can have long-lasting emotional and psychological effects, and therapy can provide the support and tools needed to recover and create long-lasting supportive relationships with others as well as with yourself.
A corporate consulting therapist, is often referred to as an organizational or workplace therapist, is a mental health professional who provides therapy and counseling services within a corporate or organizational context. My role as a corporate consultant is to support employees and the organization as a whole in managing mental health and emotional well-being, addressing workplace-related challenges, teaching healthy communication skills and promoting a healthy and productive work environment.
The benefits of having a therapist who also does life coaching as opposed to someone who only provides life coaching can be significant, as it combines the expertise of mental health therapy with the goal-oriented and practical aspects of life coaching.
